  1. ur right, but people think plants don't have feelings and we don't really see blood or anything horrible when a plant is killed, but an animal shouts or screams to express the pain and plants can't. i personally think its very wrong to eat meat even if I do...so i'm gonna STOP!!!!!!!

  2. plants arent really classed as actual living things. they cant do any of the 5 senses. i dont feel like im eating a dead thing when i eat a plant because they arent killed. they are naturally picked, ready to be eaten. not slaughtered and burned with their throats slit.

im a vegetarian and i feel strongly about this.

  3. well its not about vegetarians not liking meat eaters sometimes meat eaters can be harsh as well so its not a one way street but in general i think people as a whole should respect each other more than they are and put small differences as food preferences aside

  4. coz it contains fats....n blocked ur blood as thicker..............but plants keeps ur mind fresh

  5. what if someone kills u and eats u ?

strange! animals cant speak tht dunt means they dunt feel pain when u people kill them and eat them . they are living being like us . its really very sad tht how can u eat them ? dunt u see that blood cming out of them when people kill them and eat . dunt b so heartless . u r the no1 no take sm1 life liike this . jus ask sm1 to kill u and then eat u . then cm here and ask this question . ok

be veg  . im proud tht m veg

  6. The main reason is because humans were not meant to eat animals. Just because we can doesn't meant that it's good for us. It's been scientifically proven that vegetarianism is a much healthier choice. And there are even more reasons - environmental, economical, and social, but the most discussed one is moral.

That's what you're questioning, isn't it? Why isn't it wrong to eat plants, if it's wrong to eat animals? Because the purpose of plants is to convert light energy into chemical energy so that organisms can make use of them. Animals, on the other hand, cannot convert energy, and so they have to eat plants. Plants are our main source of energy.

And, did you know that most of the crops grown in the world go to feeding livestock, to make them fat enough for people in first-world countries to eat, while people in Africa and Cambodia are starving, without even a grain of rice, and they eat monkeys, resulting in many diseases. This is one of the social factors, which also overlaps moral a little.

    Just think about it.

  7. It is stupid to say that plants are living things and they shouldn't be eaten. First, because plants don't have a nervous system and a brain to make them feel anything. Second, because plants don't have any senses at all like animals and humans do.

Also, personally I don't hate meat eaters. I simply don't care about other people's business. All I ask from them is to stop hating us too.

  8. vegetarians are in minority, but there are many to follow a vegetarian, ranging from deeply considered, long held personal beliefs,to a doctor instructions, food allergies and intolerances or simply a son's or daughter's rebillion

well most of the people define them as veg even though egg and milk also a non veg. This depends upon there envirnoment and caste

  9. People have to eat something. Eating purely non living things though beneficial at times (minerals and vitamins) cannot sustain life. Therefore most people eat animals and plants, some people eat plants only. Why is not really important.

to one poster: Plants are really living things.

  10. It's about senses.  You've heard of Jains?  They have a system that classifies organisms based on number of senses, and that after a certain number of senses, it is wrong to eat, because they are able to sense pain.  The goal is to cause the least amount of suffering, so you eat the organism that will feel less suffering when being eaten.

Does that make sense?  And non-veg people are not killed and eaten for eating meat.  In the natural world, yes, humans would probably be eaten by a lot of animals, but we invented things like guns and brick houses to keep them away.  As a human being, our body is more naturally accommodating to vegetarian food than non-veg food.  See this website for detailed information: http://www.goveg.com/naturalhumandiet_ph...

I hope this may help you reconsider the less harmful and more natural lifestyle of vegetarianism.

And talk about world hunger!  The amount of food needed to feed one animal could feed many more humans.  Countries in which malnutrition is rampant such as in developing areas such as places in Africa, India, China, and others would suffer so much less if everyone went vegetarian and animals were not eaten.

  11. if u kill an animal and eat the flesh how would u know whether the animal was having any illness , was the animal fully healthy or not and things like that. by pickingup vegetable at least u are sure of what u are eating. with dead animals there is no way to check whether the flesh is fit to be eatne or not. this is one reason, second and most important reason is the religion u belong to or the relegion u were born into., if eating meat/flesh is taboo in your relgion, u would not eat it, would u ???

  12. To feel pain you need 2 things:

    1. A brain

    2. A central nervous system

    Plants have neither of these.

  13. I agree completely, a stick of celery has exactly the same thought processes as a cow

oh no, wait, sorry, thats rubbish - my mistake
