Why so many people in the forums of foreign medias keep saying that Turkey is "lucky" for its last victories?

They don't want to admit that we are strong, and they always say that "luck" was the only factor of our victories. (sigh).

Well, I wish we'll be " lucky " in the Germany game and the Finale game as well.

Of course Turkey was lucky because in football you always need some luck.

Nevertheless, with luck alone you don't turn 3 games...

turkey is a small power in football and yesterday was really lucky. it is not a kind of racism... it is like Greece before 4 years. all media was saying that the wins of Greek team was lucky and really was. this event was not a racism. it was the reality like now.

I guess they didn't expect that, they simply underestimated the Turkish team... and yes, others might be jealous, coz some 'big favorites' are already failed.

But man, it is obvious, clear for everyone: We all got the lesson from the Turks. The Turkish team tought us what it means NOT TO GIVE UP till the referee blows the final whistle. Thank you Turks, it was amazing!

It must be very annoying for the players. After all the training Turkish players went through and all the effort they put into the matches, some useless, ignorant people say they have won in the last minute out of luck. If a team scores in the first minutes of the match people think they "play well" but when a team scores in the last minutes of the match people think its "luck". In fact, there is no difference apart from the fact that Turks should receive more credit for reminding everyone that the game is 90 minutes. Turkish matches, by far, are the most entertaining ones to watch for football fans.

I didn't expect the Croatians to be mature and decent enough as to admit that Turkey deserved to win, but I am really having troubles understanding the attitudes of the others. It may very well have to do with racism and prejudice, as you say. I have no doubt that Turkey will beat Germany on Wednesday, but I suppose even then some people will insist on their irrational, hardly inexplicable behaviour.

Would you accept if i say they are jealous...i was reading the international news previous to the game and most of them were telling that Croatia was the surprise after biting German and the best goal keeper of the world so all the eyes were put on this team.. and for turkey they were telling that they would face a hard time due to their weakness...mmm garbage!!!, at the end they swallow their own words... i am not Turkish but i celebrate their victory!!!!

I didnt watch the full game but from the 20 or so minutes I watched Turkey was always putting pressure on Croatia and was constantly attacking,

besides its only game every one needs to take a chill pill  *_*

Like you said, people are afraid to compliment their opponents.  I think it takes a lot of guts to admit your own faults and to overcome the fact that there are better people at something, in this case futbol.  If the foreign countries keep thinking that Turkey won their two games by sheer "luck", well, then I guess if we win the Eurocup, they'll still think it was "luck" and they'll look like a dumbas* for not being a true person to actually complimenting somebody for their hard work.  For any country to win the Eurocup, I would compliment them regardless and recognize their perseverance for defeating such good teams.

yes...i know they won the games with enthusiasum, self believe and mind power not with luck.

when England win matches with late goals, the media sat say "what a comback or what a fight" and don't mension anything about luck.

the media just don't want to admit that they win matches with enthusiasum but still they had luck but if they didn't fight back there wouldn't have been luck.
