April seems to be a really bad month, why? Do you think there could be some kind of connection-astrology, religion, whatever as to why April is so awful and is it cursed?

4-14-1865 Lincoln assassination

4-18-1906 San Francisco earthquake

4-15-1912 Titanic

4-06-1917 U.S enters WW1

4-04-1968 Martin Luther King Assassination

4-19-93 Waco TX compound

4-19-95 Oklahoma city bombing

4-20-99 Columbine shooting

4-16-2007 Virginia Tech shooting

Hitler was also born on 4/20 and died on 4/30 which some say had to do with Columbine.

  1. You listed 9 "bad events" over the course of 150 years... That's one bad event every 16.6 years...  so that does not qualify as "so many" bad events in April...

Do a little more research next time before you jump to conclusions.

  2. Birth of Hitler

  3. I've wondered the same thing.... my brother died April 22, 1998.

But to offset my luck, I got married April 13, 2008 to give me something to look forward to in April instead of something to dread.

  4. more tragic,September-tax day,property  tax and business tax,but,April-income tax,and again ,April

  5. Hello Radio

You forgot one although it is not tragic >>> April Fool'sDay

    Joke .....Had to say it

  6. This is called "confirmation bias".

Confirmation bias refers to a type of selective thinking  whereby one tends to notice and to look for what confirms one's beliefs, and to ignore, not look for, or undervalue the relevance of what contradicts one's beliefs. For example, if you believe that during a full moon there is an increase in admissions to the emergency room where you work, you will take notice of admissions during a full moon, but be inattentive to the moon when admissions occur during other nights of the month. A tendency to do this over time unjustifiably strengthens your belief in the relationship between the full moon and accidents and other lunar effects.
