Why so most CFL teams average like 25000 fans a game?

Then you put a cap so Edmonton who actually supports their team can't reap the benefits of our fan dedication.

  1. Cap is because it would drain support in other cities were they unable to compete...for this exact reason.  You won't have a league if there is no competition.

    As for the 25K a game...seems to me that BC, Toronto and Edmonton (not sure on Calgary) are the only cities playing in stadiums bigger than 30,000...and likely the Eskies would be the only city getting crowds bigger than that regularly.

So you don't think there should be a level playing field?  You think a team should be able to outspend the others to try and buy a winner?  That would be the end of the league.  The cap is to protect the whole league from destruction by fools, and ensure all teams have a chance to compete based on the merits of the players, the coaches, and management intelligence, not on wallet size.
