I dont think Jamia lyon was the only player really holding the club together.

Sonnybill had a real bust up with mason at the beginning of the year about loyalty. Now it seems wat sonny has done has made mase look like a saint. Masons mates new he was prolly gona leave and they new reasons why (upper management)

Also sonny had meetings with his ceo and future coach regarding the future of the club and his excitement of that. further he kept saying he was happy at the dogs.

I dont think lyon left during the season too ( i stand to be corrected)

both walked from there respected clubs, but i think the similarities stop there!

lyon left coz he was "homesick" apparently, he didnt go shasing dollars half way around the world untill parra released him of his contract!

sbw.... just up and left (reportedly chasing dollars) having said that i think before we make assumptions we should probly here what he has to say, about why he has done this!

i think the media in this case isn't helping the situation!

oh yea, and mundane fights tonight, hope he gets smashed!

Jamie wasn't a cry baby, he went to play for a backyard team in the bush while he got his life back on track, SBW went for the money. SBW is the smarter of the two

Different situations. SBW left the club without permission. Lyon was realeased beacuse of so called personal issues. He went overseas and then had to wait as Parra agreed to release him so long as he did not return to another NRL for as long as his contract was valid. If SBW situation was the same that would mean he would not return to the NRL for another 4 yrs.

Actaully I hadn't heard the comparison, from what I remember all the difference was Lyons cried a bit and went bush before jumping to england. In the end he did it with the clubs okay (i wont go as far to say blessing) and Williams didnt.

great question. i believe the Lyon situation is similar 2 SBW.as far as i know Lyon walked out on Parra Before going about it the right way,he asked for a release after it all came out.i think the difference between the 2 situations is that Lyon the Dog Walked at the start of the season & SBW the Cat walked during the season.SBW should honor his contract or he should have said something at the start of the season or wait till the end of this season,im not a Dogs fan but he should pay out the remainder of his contract to the bulldogs out of his own pocket,i will be shocked if he doesnt get in sh*t for breaking a signed contract otherwise why the h**l do sports have contracts,its a f**king joke!!!!
