    Ok...they do have red.

    The color red is preferred by advertising companies because it has the effect that it is coming toward you when you look at it.  It catches your eye, so you want to buy that product.

    So when you look at 7-Up, the red dot looks as though it's coming toward you.  The advertisers hope this will be enough to make you buy that product.
