No, it is not true.

First of all, if one is a "top," then he doesn't "take the place of a man during the action."  He already is a man.

Secondly, if one is a "bottom," then he is still a man and doesn't take the place of anyone.

Thirdly, some people prefer one or the other roles most of the time (or "totally" as you put it), but other people will prefer to switch.

Fourth, some people are not into anal s*x at all, regardless of the role.  There are other options, you know.

But regardless of what g*y men do, nothing changes the fact that they are both MEN - not women.  They are MEN have s*x with MEN.

EDIT: I'm glad that you understand that they are both men, but just like with straight people, sometimes the woman will want to be on the top and in control of all the action.  Same with some bottoms - they prefer to ride the horsie from on top (except that instead of holding onto the saddle horn, they prefer to sit on it!).

some are totally one way or another.  Mostly because either they strongly prefer one or the other...or perhaps they are better at it.

But in my experience, most guys like a little of both.  Like I've always said, "Do unto others as you'd have them do unto you."
