Why some glasses dont have tag?

i went to the optometrist centre today to look at some glasses...(my last checkup was 4 yrs ago LOL)

from this particular brand, i notice that some glasses dont have price tags and some do?

why is that?

i saw the one that i like and asked the sales person to check the price...

it came out to be 225....can i believe her? since i cant see the price from the computer?

it's an empiori armani brand though...and semi-rimless.

  1. Those emporio armani glasses range anywhere from $130+ to 200+ dollars so I would say she is probably not making it up although it just depends on where you went I have found that JC Penny's tends to lie about prices though not all do I personally prefer Better Vision.


  2. Why would she lie?  She probably wants to sell glasses.

    Emporio Armani, though, I'd say the price is probably right.  I haven't sold this brand for several years but that's not out of line from what I'd expect.

  3. Yes you can believe her. BUT... ask for the name brand and the frame number and name. Then go to a private OD who sells glasses and ask them for a price. A lot of private doctors will cut you a break because they want your business. Places like Walmart or Lenscrafters can't do that.

    It is NOT true that private doctors are more expensive than Big box retailers. The makers of the glasses set the price, not the doctors. Private doctors can eat some of that cost because they get your eye exam fee. Plus private doctors offer better warranties and are more helpful because they want you to keep coming back, thats money in their own pocket. Not their employers!
