For many people, reality is much harder to face than fantacy.  Reality can be very cruel.  People would be much happier if they would face reality and overcome it.

Look at the intellectual fuel people receive. Look at modern philosophy. Look at Kant, Hegel, and the likes. They all preach the rejection of reality.

if you accept that which is "considered" to be, then you cannot accept what it is you dream, or think. if you cannot accept these, then you lose hope, which is something not many are willing to give up.

Because anyone who says they know what is real ..is foolish.

because its painful, difficult. i think most importantly its boring. we all have the ability to dream and think, this can be applied with reality ignored.
