why some women who joined the army complain about sexual assault ?

I believe there is always an unexpected body contact while moving, that is a heavy duty job, if that so then why some women join the army, I think that prove that army is not for women.

  1. Ummmm ... because they get SEXUALLY ASSAULTED? Is this a real question?

  2. There is a big difference between rape or sexual assault and "unexpected body contact".  Sexual assault involves genitals; since people usually keep their genitalia in their clothing even when moving, sexual assault is a completely separate thing than "unexpected body contact".  Most women, and most people, have no problem with "unexpected body contact", and many urban people experience it in daily life on a crowed subway or bus.  Almost no one gets upset when they accidentally touch or are touched by a stranger.   The key word there is ACCIDENTAL.  Intentional and unconsensual touching, especially between men and women, is completely unacceptable in civil society, but the military does not abide by the rules or customs of civil society, leading to the problem with sexual assault in the military.  I see no reason whatsoever that men in the military are incapable of following the law, or treating their colleges with the respect they would expect their wife of sister to be treated with when she is at work with other men, instead of forcing colleagues to preform sexual favors against their will.  Should a man in the military commit a felony and force a female officer to have s*x (or preform a sexual favor against her will) he should be prosecuted to the fullest extent under the law.

  3. Because some are genuinely sexually assaulted and a few are overly sensitive or complain about it for other reasons.  I think the great majority that complain about it have a legitimate complaint and it is unfortunate the the minority that complain to get attention, get transferred or get out of trouble when they are caught give the rest a bad name.  Some like to play around and goof off jokingly but get upset when it "offends" them but those are really a minority.  The majority have good cause and good reason when they do.

  4. "Unexpected body contact" is not sexual assault, and that's not what they're talking about.  If you accidentally bump someone, you say "Excuse me," and it's over.   Sexual assault is when some jerk deliberately rubs up against you, or grabs your *****s to embarrass you or demean you.  Sometimes they even rape you.  It happens more often to military women than in civilian life.  The military is trying to change this, but social change is slow, especially in the military.
