  1. Usually only the grand slam tournaments (there are exceptions to this for sure...ie Davis Cup) use a best 3 out of 5 set format. The majority for both men & women are best 2 out of 3.

  2. Only Grand Slams and big money tournys use best 3 out of 5 as they are more important. Some grandslames play until u win two  more sets then ur opponent

  3. grand slams have best out of 5...

um i believe the final of ATP masters series in Florida had best 3 out of 5 also.

  4. It depends where they play like the US open series, some of them have best out of 3 sets and other slams have it out of 5

  5. Most tournaments these days require the men to win 2 out of 3 except for the slams. Which brings out another reason for equal pay. If the men only need 2 sets these days, then the women should play best of 5 in The Slams, and make it totally equal. Not to mention will really show what the women have, and dont have.

  6. only the mens grand slams in tennis have a best 3 out of 5 match. other than that, all the atp master's series tours and matches are best 2 out of 3

  7. Only the slams have best of 5 sets for men
