  1. your spark plug wire is deteriorating. The electrical current is not completely making it to the spark plug. This is caused by either the age and the wire has broken down, or it is up against a piece of metal or rubbing against another spark plug wire. When you replace the wire-set be sure to use the retaining clips as previously suggested, but also grab a couple packs of wire conduit. you can get the wire conduit at any parts stores for around $5 a pack. you put the wire conduit anywhere the wire touches metal or where wires touch each other. this will ensure maximum efficiency and life of your wire-set. an average set of spark plug wires live around 60 to 70 thousand miles which if you have a car with platinum spark plugs that is a good time to change.

  2. it

  3. So it does NOT radiate radio interference.

    Good luck...

  4. this is to reduce the RFI, so that you and every one else around you can hear the radio clearly. you can find solid core wires for some cars, but that can be a hastle, and it serves no purpose if you are not running a high powered vehicle

  5. Either they are old or they are laying against your exhaust manifold.  Replace them and make sure they are in the proper retaining clips to prevent future problems.
