the creators say he isnt g*y but actually asexual

so why do they constantly put stuff that sounds g*y.

in one episode he is trying to find his keys to get inside his house so his "bodyguard" can protect him, then he says, " Well, I cant find them; do you want to take a look?"

there is one where him and patrick go in submarine and spongebob says: Bye Squidward, bye Mr. Krabs, bye Squidward.

Patrick: You said bye Squidward twice

Spongebob: I like Squidward

what is your opinion on this? i like to watch spongebob but this annoys me

  1. Well I dont know.Spongebob g*y or straight, i will still watch the show. Its so good.you just cant stop.My freinds say that he is bisexual and some say he is just straight out g*y. I do think he is g*y but he only like Squidward and Patrick more than just freinds.

  2. i think you're reading a little too much into it. spongebob acts like a little kid b/c kids are the audience. of course he's asexual. why would there be anything at all sexual in a children's cartoon? maybe you just always have "g*y" on the mind and that's why you think these comments are g*y.

  3. I think it's halarious. The writers do this on purpose as a joke so people like you will wonder about him. :)

  4. u forgot the episode where spongebob and patrick had a baby and spongebob was the mother

  5. Lol I was actually thinknig that when I saw that body guard episode but after I thought about it he was just clueless and friendly. I think he is funny reguardless

  6. The problem was this:

Reverend Dobson, of the conservative publication "Focus on the Family", was unhappy that Nile Rodgers was releasing his hit "We Are Family" for a g*y/L*****n group. Nile's thought was that we are all family, regardless of our sexual orientation.

To help this along, Nile's was able to get animated characters to help, like Arthur, Dora the explorer and SpongeBob, among others.

The reverend was upset that these popular children's characters wer being used to help promote something that the reverend disagreed with. His statement, although factual, was not presented properly by himself, as he stated "SpongeBob promoted a g*y agenda."

In an open sense, the reverand was right. SpongeBob was being used to promote a g*y agenda, the agenda of treating g**s and lesbians are people and not demons.

However, the media glommed onto the statement with little or no investigation and made the jump that the reverend felt SpongeBob was g*y.

Now, understand I am not defending the reverend. I feel he goes overboard, but i gav ethe man the vbenefit of the doubrt and read what he said.

HOWEVER, it did not stop me from putting together a comedy bit where I not only "prove" SB is g*y, but that cartoon are a seething hotbed of unbridled lust and unrelenting carnality

  7. sponge bob not g*y hes just like that on purpose.:)

  8. I agree with you. A lot of times, in the newer episodes, I start to believe, that Spongebob, might be in fact g*y. Because it just seems that way. I don't understand, it and I will never will. I guess, they show this, because the kids love how Spongebob, always acts silly or strange, or is friendly and funny. If the kids like it, then the creators, will keep on putting that.

  9. It's funny to me, i think they're trying to puzzle our brains. However you have to love SpongeBob..lol

  10. it's not necessarily g*y.

    it's more like childish.

    'cause spongebob is kinda childish,ne?

  11. I think that it's hillarious;-) SpongeBob is awesome! idk why it's like that tho
