Question:

Why still sing Sectarian songs??

Despite a wonderful performance by Rangers today,I have to admit that I was disappointed by some of the songs which they were inging and how they clearly upset some Irish supporters sitting near me.

I am not offended by God save the queen or rule brittania, but other songs were far from acceptable. When will this stop ?

I have not heard sectarian songs sung at Paradise by the Celtic support over the last year or two,so perhaps it's time Rangers took action to get rid of these idiots, who spoil the game for others.

  1. soz fer burstin yer bubble, but we got fukt the day, sectarian songs is the last thing on my mind. if we had won we would be the ones in their position so live and let live

  2. If you haven't heard Sectarian songs by Celtic fans, you need to listen a bit harder.

Both sides are equally as guilty of that offence.

  3. rangers never had a black player  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! what about mark walters

  4. aye helen     your never sang anything dodgy.....     get aff yer high horse ya bigot

  5. right ok I must be bladdered and seeing things cause I am sure I saw s***k monster say the better team won!!!!!

Helen the away support always do it as they can't do it when they are at the home ground, rangers and celtic fans alike. It's history and tradition and in all fairness is it any worse than singing "you're going home in a fcukin body bag"

  6. the real reason for your comment on sectarian singing is to take the shine off a great performance by a british football team who clearly have made sacrifices to accommodate the bleating hearts of the so called downtrodden tattie pickers from the republic of ireland, who indulge themselves before a match at the big jock knew-camp by playing music glorifying an i.r.a.terrorist f.o.a. you got well and truly humped get over it

  7. aye right stoo73 are you trying to be funny....as for the sectarian songs..i don't think away fans will ever stop singing them..i think with the home support rangers have taken steps to sort it out..its not half as bad as it used to be..just to add..the celtic away support are just as guilty of this

  8. I  admit i sing HOPE YOU DIE IN YOUR SLEEP NACHO NOVO

  9. many songs which are deemed sectarian are based on historical events and the singing of these songs reminds us of the embarrassment of  our behaviour in the past. its not the singing of songs that causes sectarianism its the people that raise us ! let the people sing ...

  10. why don't ye go home after all the famine is over, cheerio and take yer bigoted irish sectarian c**p with you it's our country so goodbye

  11. ask your away fans the same question first !

sort out your own house before pointing the finger at others

and as for this black player stuff  ???  Walter Tull !! ring a bell ?

  12. Don't worry..the famine song sung twice..was broadcast nationwide and the SFA are aware of it.

it has now become an offence to sing this song and after thousands of complaints during and after the match I am sure action will be taken.

As it will be if our fans sing anything sectarian at Ibrox.

  13. And why should you be offended by Rule Brittania, it is a patriotic song about this "Great" island of Britain which we were born and bred? Or God Save The Queen, it is your national anthem if you are a U.K. citizen i'm afraid to say.

I never heard any Sectarian songs. In fact i was too busy WATCHING the game. Were you LISTENING as it was clear the game had passed you's by?

Anyway, you are happy for YOUR club's fans to sing sectarian songs at away grounds but won't tolerate OTHER club's at your ground. That's called bigotry.

  14. It is a tradition within Scottish Football.  Perhaps you should also be asking why Rangers has never had a black player.

  15. sorry helen but some of the worst sectarian singing i hear is when i travel to away matches to watch celtic...sad but true. accept we were well beaten by a better side

  16. Every last rangers fans in the stadium yesterday is guilty of singing secreterian and racist songs/chants, its an utter disgrace and shows quite clearly that these people are no better than scum.

  17. If the Celts should be going 'home' because the famine is over then maybe you Billy Boy a******s should go 'home' too because you sure as h**l ain't wanted by anyone other than your own kind.

  18. very very bad losers

  19. Please define a sectarian song.

  20. them songs have been sung long be4 you or me went ti fitbaw(by both sides) its a part of it if you dont understand it your no a part of it...AND thats what makes it the best old firm in the world

here we go fcukin bigoted cards coming out time!

kenny miller a bigot then?? ffs make ur mind up time on that 1!

  21. cos it is born in them they are animals?

plus what the h**l has IRELAND got to do with a game of Scottish footbaw? keep yer irish roots in ireland and english wans in england, i say, sing scottish tunes or shut the fk up I say!

its too much religion in it for me, the celts sign anyone  ... gers only take non catholics, once they signed a catholic player, and the fan base left in droves , what an uproar,so angry were they- their bitterness and twisted faces and generations of hatred  on their faces. the orangemen are sworn to never even talk with any a 'fenian' not even a scots word. 'we are knee deep high in fenian blood, surrender or you'll die' yeah right...note to tim ladies...marry wan and p**s the old father off. marry through love and stop this its like muslims  mad on it . we dont cart backpacks in scotland wi bombs in,irish terrorists do that best so keep yer mad terrorists as well ireland , ta for the guiness import, but, p**s off we dont need the rest -such is the hatred of another viewpoint, between 2 rival football clubs. started over in scabby ireland.

you better get yourself a good lawyer, oh but no wait- not Donald Findlay QC as he will show up at  court with his sash his father wore, and pipe  he nicked fae sherlock holmes and beard fae david bellamy, start spewing his vile 'true face' .

maybe go to spain to see fitba and start singing  gers songs and then no one has a clue what you are on about.  frankly nor have i.

i live in 2008 not 1690. anyone caught singing bilge in any team support should be frogmarched off the grounds- but crowds bring bravado and anonyminity in numbers...it will never change..

  22. Helen, i don't like sectarian songs of any kind but, i have too say some of our own fans are guilty of it.     Unfortunately, we will never eradicate it.  More's the pity.

Sums it up really when you have some moron giving Murphy a thumbs up...

  23. stoo73.. WTF???

  24. sectarian songs are still sung at parkhead why do all celtic fans say this when clearly they are lying god who really cares about it i know some people take it too far but its part o history and ppl should just deal with it. I was at the old firm and some of the songs sung by the celtic fans where disgraceful but GET A LIFE it aint gonna change

  25. i`m a celtic fan, their are sections that sing sectarian songs which on one night i felt uncomfortable with. but on the other hand in the late 70`s early 80`s most of the ground sang them. back the it was all a bit of banter now its all gone pc correctness gone mad. most of my mates are gers fans and we really don`t hate each other.

  26. It wont stop - for some reason these people think the sash is relevant

  27. the constant warcry of complete retards, and that is all im saying

  28. well done rangers the better team won! <on the day lol

  29. Yeh back to the sectarian stuff surprise surprise! accept defeat gracefully the way your manager did. celtic do it just as much, Sticks and stones though its been in scottish football for ever. Whats with the black player thing???? Edu and Beasley not count? or Cousin or Bougherra who both started!

  30. STOO73

Mark Walters, Rod Wallace, Gio Van Bronkhorst,,Jean Allain Boumsong, Brahim Hemdani , Amde Faye , Jean Claude Darcheville ,

Daniel Cousin , Majid Bougherra , Ugo Ehiog , Marvin Andrews to name but a few who have played first team football for Rangers and all are non White.

You are obviously a complete and utter tw*t who would not know which way a lift was going if you had two guess's
