  1. Even if they have their own president, own independant economy, own law...for the whole world they are officially Republic of China (ROC) or "Chinese Taipei". Not an

    independant country, no embassy through the world, almost no nation has recognized Taiwan has a country.

    The flag used in Taiwan is the flag of the Republic of China (ROC).   The ROC in Taiwan is (1) a subordinate occupying power, beginning Oct. 25, 1945, and (2) a government in exile, beginning mid-December 1949.
