  1. well once ur a black belt or expert ur physical capability is increased perhaps farther than a person without martial arts experience.

and pretty much good way of staying healthy and situations where you or ur opponent is going to get their *** beat

  2. i practice wushu because the forms are aesthetically pleasing and they calm my body and cultivate my internal energy with great self-defense techs. i practiced jung sim do - a combination of tkd, judo, hapkido, and weapons - to keep me busy when i went to stay with my aunt near shippensburg university, it was great and i didn't expect to advance to high blue belt in just 5months. my father taught me jkd and shorin-ryu and boxing when i first had to defend myself. my brother taught me sanshou/sanda and freestyle with weapons too because we had a chance to bond, he could teach early, and he loved to do fighting stuff. i learned muay boran w/ ling lom to get in touch with my slightly lao side. i kept it up because...i don't know why actually. i just love the feel of martial arts. i began to learn kuntao because i was curious about the concepts. martial arts has become a part of my fam.,my life, and was a part of my heritage.

  3. i dont really know why i do it. my parents put me in when i was 7 and i started to like it.

  4. I'm pretty new to tae kwon do too, but i love it and i take it because i love the people, I love that it gets me motivated, i love the feeling of accomplishment that comes with all of it, and i love the feeling that comes with being stretched out!

  5. 1. Ever since I can remember fighting was the coolest thing. I use to battle my action figures and I had so many I could fill up baskets and baskets with random figures

    2. All the best cartoons were fighting cartoons-Ninga turtles, Spiderman, BatMan . Satur day morning cartoons were basicaly cartoon guys just fightin each other.. And then movies and video games same deal

3.. It offers a confidents and a pride in your self that is just amazing.. My life was on a one way track to no where. now you wanna be a martial artist....No drugs ..No eating bad. Then suddnely you start feeling better about college. You read martial arts books and then reading text books don't seem so bad. I went drom doing drugs and skate boarding to doing drugs and nothing else to conditioning my body everyday and reading and having goals of being a psychologist and being a black belt in Jujitsu..Becoming great Kick Boxer....Suddenly my friends show me respect like they never have. I would say right now to anyone really down on there life. You know...you teen agers that are goin know where. Martial arts is like a ******* rope that they hung down for you yo. Tring to save you. Grab on man

  6. Why not? That's the question. Because martial arts are just flat out awesome. Who doesn't like to fight?... Except for democrats... but nobody cares about them.

  7. its a great way to get in shape. it will teach discipline which a lot of people in todays world really needs. it teaches you how to protect yourself in situations where you are alone. it helps you learn about yourself.

  8. I started in Tae Kwon Do. Then me and my friends just beat the c**p out of each other with bokkens till we could beat the state fencing champ. Now I do MMA. Reasons. Mainly because it is fun. Competition is what drives men to be greater, whether this is competition with one's self or compition with an opponent. I love being fit and healthy. I like to know I can defend myself and loved ones. But mostly it is proving myself to me. When you've been out worked out manuvered and can't hardly find the strength to move and you do until the very end and your heart and training is all that got you there is a very satisfying feeling even if you lose. you get to go home knowing that you gave it your all and it commanded respect from your opponent, coach and all the spectators. That is a win even if not on paper

  9. I'm training to be a mixed martial artist, as well as to better myself physically, mentally and spiritually.
