2. American people do not seem to care the Bush and the CIA can break constitutional and human rights laws and do not care about equal justice for all.

  1. I think it is more expedient in this time of war to not allow every National secret and interrogation records into the hands of our enemies. That includes the far left and most of the media. They would use any info, good or bad, right or wrong to undermine our ability to defend this country or prevent further attacks upon us. They cannot be trusted. This is all protected under national security laws, but too many people with big mouths and few brains would gladly make everything public. Even if it causes the deaths of citizens and soldiers.

  2. we as americans are to blame because we have ALLOWED THIS TO HAPPEN

  3. I completely disagree with you. I think you have some holes in your reasoning.

  4. President Bush was elected by the people of America.

It is impossible for a leader of a nation to please all the people.  There will always be people who are annoyed with the actions of the leader, and they will be mad at whoever put that person in office.

In recent years, the leaders have been elected by narrow margins of votes, and large numbers of people on the losing side have vilified the winner.  It does not matter who gets elected, this history will repeat.

Most people would rather criticize decisions and actions they not like, than to work through the political system to get constructive change.

The end result of all this will be in a few decades America will no longer be a world leader, and Americans will be habitually tortured and abused by whatever next nation becomes world leader, with the actions of recent years being used as justification for trashing the Geneva Convention.
