Some robbed passengers have alleged that the cops are in connivance with the robbers, who simply enter the compartments at night and rob the passengers, and at that precise time, the cops are "absent"...My own Aunt was robbed of her gold chain once...

so as touts so as robbers,the railway policfe is very careless,also so far i have not witnessed two cops in a boogie so far,it is easy to say than to do,there are hundred of beggars on trains,lots on the platforms are they prevented just think,they also steal a lot of things the passenger who has been robbed has to go such an ordeal that in furture if such a thing happens to him he just forgets.

The railway protection force of the railway have no real power.If the catch a robber they have to hand him over to Government railway police with proof of robbery.This is not always possible.Though they carry arms they cannot use it unless they have to retaliate. so if a robber jumps off the train and runs the RPF man has to jump chase and catch him. I hope now you understand the practical difficulties and tell your Railway minister to amend the criminal code accordingly
