  1. he didn't like being with the KINGS

  2. Because he was a cancer to the team. The minute things don't go his way he starts whining. He's a ball hog. He doesn't know when to keep his mouth closed. He's been in trouble with the law several times. Despite his talent, he isn't worth the trouble. Good riddance!

  3. He annoys them and wants to be traded anyway...

  4. Well lets see,

    1. TMAC will finally get out of the first round.

    2. Ron Artest is a cry baby.

    3. He's not a good player at all.

    4. He needed to get away form a sucky team.

    5. And last, no one else would take the loser!

  5. RON RON IS UNHAPPY THERE!

  6. Well... i guess the question should be "Why do they want to trade Artest to a Western Team instead of an Eastern Team? it doesnt make any sense and i agree with  you. Kings play in the same conference, so why make the rockets better? Kigs can get a much better value out  of Artest..I hope

  7. hes a big mouth

  8. What up Ryan,

Well i think the Kings definitely knew that they had to trade Ron at some point- because of all the drama he's caused with - i want to be here, i don't want to be here- they most certainly knew that they would lose him at the end of the season- so better to get something than nothing.

The question really is could they have gotten more for Ron.  Would it have been wiser for them to let him get off to a good start and let the season play out a little bit more.  Most certainly they had interested teams like the:  Lakers, Phoenix, Mavs, and i just think they could have gotten a lot more than Bobby Jackson and a first rounder.

Part of it could just have been not wanting to help the Lakers after years of rivalry with them.  But i think the Kings could have gotten more than what the Rockets offered, especially considering that the Rockets with this lineup should be able to easily top 55 wins and will not have a very high first round pick.

  9. they want to free up cap space so they can try to get the King to be the King of the Kings...

Ok, they prob won't get James, but they want to get some free agents in the future so they'll open up the room now.

  10. To tell you the truth, many people forgot to mention Donte Green. A late first-rounder (Donte should have been picked much earlier) and proved in the summer league that he can just plain score.

Bobby Jackson was just a token to convince the rockets to readily accept the trade.

Another thing that the Kings could have done was keep Artest for another year, so that they can have him relieved out of the contract, and then have 7 million dollars to spend.

But I'm a stickler for trades, and the Kings could have gotten more for him. The Kings even mentioned that they are going to trade Kenny Thomas' contract with Artest (Kenny Thomas has an inconvenient contract for the next few years, which stops the Kings from making trades and bargains in the free agent pool), I'm extremely surprised they didn't do that.

But with a first round pick and Donte Green, not to mention the fact that they have extra salary cap space, the Kings are definitely rebuilding.

  11. this is so old

  12. well there are several reasons why...

    1. Ron Artest has been going through foul troubles for the whole season.

    2. To relieve more cap space for the Sacramento Kings. More cap space means, more capability for trades.

    3. Ron Artest's morale is dropping because he's not getting the position in the Kings franchise as their star player. Kevin Martin is.

    4. Rockets paid a high deal for Artest and plus Kings were getting a pretty fair deal also. No. 1 draft pick, Bobby Jackson who's a pretty good running the defense, and this other player, who they did not mention yet.

-I hope this has hlped with your question

  13. Why wouldn't they, he is a trouble makers and obviously didn't want to be there
