Why the Military at Wimbledon?

When our Armed Services are stretched to the limit, why should they be deployed for BS duties at the Wimbledon Championships? Who's paying for this?

  2. loads of people on here haven't a clue, they are on leave, all volunteers, they do get money for travelling down and cash to eat and to pay for food, so the tax payers pays.

  4. A major event like this is an obvious terrorist target - If anything was to happen there would be instant world wide coverage.

    If they were there for security purpose's than the British Parliament paid for it
