  1. Yes it does look that way.  I am sorry, but I cannot sympathize a great deal with this.  Georgie is a United States ally and a democratic country.  I know this is not the fault of the Russian people, anymore than any of the rest of us have control over what is happening.  Russia was fully aware of the position it was putting themselves in with NATO when they invaded Georgia and apparently did not care.

  2. well i bet theres been folks on gov. payroll in georgia guiding and teaching all along, but its just that were goin back in time here, goin back to cold war rethorics, USA vs. USSR (only now its Russia), but hey, whats been better for companies like boeing, lockheed, EADS or BAE than a warlike worldsituation for more than 35 yrs. in a row?

now that russia's blooming again, we can finally look forward to "cold war 2.0" and nobody will care for real

  3. Because Russia under the national socialists of Putin's party are evil and Georgia is just reactive.

The Georgian election brought in a US trained lawyer who ran on a ticket of close cooperation with the west and who has actively campaigned to join NATO to protect Georgia from Russian aggression.  There are about a hundred US military trainers (Green Berets) in Georgia teaching them how to have a well trained, modern army and tiny Georgia sent 2000 troops to Iraq.  What is particularly strange about canceling an event with a country stuck in 1938 and meeting with another who wishes to be a modern nation?
