We lost some "mechanical advantage" in our limbs when going from quadrupedal to bipedal locomotion -- we have different muscle insertion points in our arms and legs than a chimp does, for example, and chimps are three times as strong as they look.

long time ago(well not even 1500 years ago) we were much stronger and fit because our lives depended it.

now we are smart and weak and our lives dont depend on it.
