  1. Pandas are really extinct. Their numbers gradually reduced due to the huge appetite of human beings. Over a period of time from being a ferocious animal, it has now become almost like a pet animal. Their propagation rate has drastically reduced. Even by the artificial means, the birth rate is not that strong, plus the pandas require bamboo for their survival. Not all places are conducive for such an environment.

  2. For reasons that are still under investigation, pandas are very picky about mating. There has been some success in recent years with impregnating a female in captivity, but many attempts to breed pandas have failed.

  3. Due to Panda only eat bamboo, at this time there is less growing in the wild due to harvest, and general death and rebirth of the plant itself

  4. Pandas ability to breed is very limited even under the best of conditions.  Since we are still learning what the best of conditions are for pandas it is a work in progress.

  5. They are cutting all the trees down in china. ANd bamboo harvesting taking place. Less green equal less pandas everywhere.
