Question:

Why the delay on custom cable tv programing? Don't consumers have the right to pay for what they use?

Even if you choose basic cable, you are paying for programing that you probably never use. When will consumers be able to pay for what they watch.. and ONLY for what they watch?

  1. Hi Anthony,

The regulators are working at their usual pace (the speed of rock) to implement the laws. The providers don't want it. It will take extra effort to implement and people will not buy as much because, to your point, most of the stuff provided isn't watched anyhow.

It will come and it is what the people want and need but with congress involved it will take time.

  2. be careful what you ask for...advertising is sold as minutes of air time ( basically ) . since a lot of networks are owned by the same co.and when those bundled packages of air time are not available, advertisers will not buy them. If individual channel purchases ever become available you can expect to pay about $6.00 to $8.00 each
