Because people like to make fun of anyone who's different than them.  It makes them feel more secure with who they are.

People who are totally comfortable with who they are tend not to make fun of other people near as much.

I really don't have a problem with people wanting to read/watch that type of movie. I would have to say the reason other people have a problem with it is because it is a romance novel/movie and in this society mainly women watch romance.

In america, I don't know where you are from, you have to only do manly things and if you do anything associated with anything that a female normally does than you are considered womanly.

ex:

would you considered 2 men that have intercourse g*y?

More than likely you would say yes or at least that they were bi.

In Africa there is a tribe that says that in order for a boy 12, 13, 14, to become a man he must have anal intercourse with all the men in the village.

So anything and everything depends on where you come from and how you where raise.
