I don't wholly understand your question. While I'm not convinced that the *majority* of our soldiers are of Latin descent, I'm grateful for the many, many that are, just as I'm grateful for all the others.

The government so far hasn't shown itself to be racist. They're still trying to solve a complex problem in a rational way, when they certainly won't please everybody. Not everyone who's against *illegal* immigration is racist. But to get back to your question--the racists who HAVE latched onto the immigration issue were already racists, no logic needed. They just see the immigration issue, that OTHERS on both sides are trying to logically deal with, as justification for their nasty beliefs.

Number one, it isn't racist to protect your border and rules of citizenship. Mexico does.Try living illegally down there. See what happens when you get caught. Try going to the doctor,

Number two, you aren't taking the work citizens reject but taking it at a wage they can't afford to work for.

Number three, I commend you if you've joined our Armed forces to get into this country as a legitimate means of becoming a citizen but the majority of our Armed forces is most certainly not Latino.
