  1. The only way a Country can make money is to export and sell abroad.

If you sell a local product locally, all you are doing is recyling the local currency not bringing extra money into the Country.

So - discourage the locals from buying goods which some other Country will buy and knock down the price to make them more eager to part with their cash!

A bit of the "stack 'em high and sell 'em cheap" policy

  2. Because all the prices have gotten so high, so rediculous its not even funny, Its sad b/c wages there in Greece are so low, causing people to not have money to pay bills, food, eating, etc... and your right its expensive, but we don't have the power to do much about it, we are all suffering except those that are making money in their pockets. It's better making greek coffee at home than to buy it outside. Mas exoune trelanei me tis times! Esti opos pame tha pethanoume apo ti pina!!!!!!!!!!! Ti na kanoume omos, to palevoume.

Not to mention, prices are so high and wages are so low, that greece is in first place in europe's list of the most expensive prices, and last place in the list of workers' wages having the least. Working in Germany pays alot more and was in first place with having the best overall wage salary. But its not only in Europe, its all around the world the prices are so high, so all we can do is stick to as many coupons we can get and hang in there. I know at some point, things will get back to the way they were, at least for now, lol.:)

  5. because of local twa tax

  6. EUPORIA...askime lexi ..every nation has a love tax...ti enai to love tax?i hear you ask..well a love tax is what nations inhabitants..prefer to consume most off all...they take  ..x amount of products that a nation consumes on daily basis..or a cant do with out basis...and according to the demand of a certain product. the tax is not only taxed once accordign to market value but taxed up to 5 times..and that means from the storing of a natural product to the processing to the packing and to the transport cost.. the tax at every step of that product depending on how the consumer wants it.,,now out of those ..x ..amount of products ..they are taxed on a pyramid value..so lets just say we have 10 daily cant do with out products if coffe is number one it will be top of the pyramid..and so on till you get down to the last product at the base of the pyramid..but all are taxed way beyond thier international value..any other product that entres or is made by the same country is and that is consumed on low volume is only taxed once...for instance in australia  a mercedes 500 can set you back as much as $ au .240,000  but in europe or even america its  only one third of that price some times even cheaper...but becuase cars in australia are a must have commoditiy  they are taxed up to 5 times higher than the market value  even cars made here are taxed 3 times more than they are worth..so we virtualy pay throught the nose for what we need most of all..and the goverments knows this and know how to squezze every penny out of you..they dont care ..its like well you can do with out coffe or u can do with out a car... so if you want it pay up..in other words..its plain extortian on a legal level...
