  1. Many people are uneducated and belived the child born is god work,so we do interfare in his work. And secondary many people like one girls and one boy.

  2. Our population will be our major strength in years to come

  3. Large proportions of India are not highly developed . The total fertility rate of India is still about 2.7 . In contrast, fertility rate in China is well below 2.0 .

At this rate the census bureau predicts that India will surpass China in population by the year 2026 and become the world's most populous nation.

    --------------------

    India

YEAR - Births - Death- Population (in millions)

    2008 - 25.5 - 7.3 -  1148

    2050 - 23.5 - 12.6 -1808

    --------------------

    China

YEAR - Births - Death- Population (in millions)

    2008 - 18.2 - 9.3 -  1330

    2050 - 13.7 - 18.1 -1424

    -------------------------------

In India the number of births will remain around the same in the next 42 years. Deaths will increase but still be around half as many births in the year 2050.

    -------------------------------

In China births will decrease by about a 1/3. Deaths will grow to a point where they are higher than deaths. Total population will only be slightly larger than it is at present.

    -------------------------------

What's more, the population of India will keep increasing until births equal deaths. This projected point will not happen until well into the end of the 21st century.

  4. Maybe it has something to do with Kamasutra.

  5. India continues to add about 18 million people per year because more than 50% of the population is in the reproductive age group. It is this large base of young people which imparts momentum to the growth of population. Also, the number of people entering the reproductive age group increases by the year due to the high birth rate of the previous years.

More significantly, the momentum brought in by the young age profile of the population spurs growth. This phenomenon will continue to add large numbers to India's population in the coming decades.

  6. population growth (at 1.46% per annum) is moderate and is less than Pakistan and some other countries. In view of the huge population of india, adding 16 million every year the growth appears to be huge; the figure larger than population of half of the countries. Better medical services over decades brought down the death rate. In a vast country the growth region-wise is uneven. In the poverty-stricken and under-developed northern plains (so-called cow belt) growth is unabatingly high, whereas in the developed populations of extreme south it is far less.

  7. naturally if every spices is given good cond they will multiply rapidly.but human being is intelligent also.so when intelligence interferes, birth rate will come down.so,giving education is the only solution.poverty, high birth rate are directionally proportional to litracy. When litrate population increases, birth rate will come down.Mr. Amirthya sen found this theory.he got nobel prize for this work.

  8. india is not yet a developed country...so every ones not literate (not educated) so due to lack of information India has a high population

  9. I always wonder about this. People don't realise that this is ending in to more and more poverty. I feel some of the main reasons are

-They want a son, so if some one has baby 2-3 girls they still hope that the next baby will be a boy who will take care of them in their old age.

    - People are worried if they have only one child and if something goes wrong with it, what will happen to them.

-poor people want more kids who can earn more money for them

    -people belive in god's grace....etc
