What am i doing wrong and if you guys can tell me some ways to clear up the water with out putting any chemicals in it. If you can tell me how much exactly water i should change.( i usually do a 10% water change)

  1. Hey there 10% is the right amount to change, but you should not change the water more than every two weeks. There is really no way to get it clearer without chemicals. Have you checked your filter cartridge, does it need changed? Adding something that has bubbles like a bubble wall, decoration that bubbles, etc. will help water circulation some and may in turn help but other than that it should be clearing up by itself if your filter is working fine and the right size for your tank.

  2. hi there

what you should do is get some other water clear like CRYSTAL CLEAR, you can get that brown small dosage from your local pet store for a really cheap amount. it works great for my 5 gallon tank =].

or you can upgrade your water changes to 20%

  3. If you over clean you remove the good bacteria..leave the tank alone!  Do not take any more water out. Sometimes it takes up 2 two weeks to be come uncloudy.  Wait and be patient let the good bacteria build back up again.

It happened to me and I have had tanks for 445 yrs...
