Why the h**l do people go on the x-factor knowing they can not sing its a wast of time?

because its funny! lots of people dont get through to see the judges. they only out through that are entertaining.  in a good or bad way. sometimes their families build them up so much they beleive they can sing.

its funny to watch especially when they argue back. lol

They are looking for publicity and if there singing is on the television programme they have succeeded.  Some however are obviously tone deaf.

in my opinion they do it in the hope that someone will see them and they can become famous for something else, basically they want there face on tv its there 15seconds and the worse they sound the more likely they will be to be shown. oh and don't they have the worst ones back for one song on the live show for the laugh...

Because their friends and family think they are being kind telling them they can sing which makes them even more disillusioned !!

'cause they're completely tone deaf!   I think it's more cruel that the judging is worst that they put these people through making them think they have a chance in h**l, you go through a whole different judge before meeting simon, danii, lewi etc and televised.  Knowing that some guy sniggered and thought it would be entertaining for some poor girl / guy to go through to the judging we see on tv just to get their dreams shattered live to the public, makes me sick.
