It's now over 1.3 billion, more than 3 times that of it's pre-WW2 level, which was 400 million?

  1. Idk, maybe alot of people are accidently getting pregnant and putting the children up for adoption

  2. One word: Medicine. And you know the one-child-law is really only enforced in the cities right?

  3. You really think the government goes into rural China and see who has how many kids? Nope. Also you have to think of foreigners in China. Also it started in 1979. They could have as many kids as they wanted between pre-WW2 and then. Also people have twins and triplets. Foreigners are exempt from the policy. The 55 official minority groups are limited to two or three children. It's not just the Han Chinese in China.

  4. Once a population reaches a certain level there are not enough natural disasters or natural deaths to off set the birth rate even with limitations and the Chinese are well advanced in medicine and technology all we can say is watch out world here comes the Mongol Hoards.

  5. Thats scary.
