  1. If they found something in your luggage or something wrong with your papers, they would figure the same for someone you might be traveling with.


  2. They ask a lot of questions - they like to get a full picture.

  3. because he wanted to know if you were traveling with anyone else. you might look a lil too young or too old to have been traveling alone. or maybe he wanted to check you and whoever you were traveling with together before letting you through....

  4. they are nosy, just answer the questions and dont sweat it.

    when I flew to Canada, I was married but my passport was still in my maiden name. When we landed at Los Angeles, we were asked if we were married. We said NO because we did not want to be hassled. Especially since we were only transiting. These US immigration people are so dumb.
