Why the majority of the civil wars is a confict between North and South, not West and East?

  1. The country was not all established in 1860. Most of the established states were east of the Miss. R., so it was North and South.


  2. okay...well in the states, it was abt slavery.

    The south was all for slavery (because they required them more for work...in fields) while the north, not needing slaves as much, were against it it.  It was based on the agriculture/industrialness of the areas of the country
