  1. I have noticed the same thing.  However, Balthazar (also spelled Balthasar or Balthassar), is the name commonly attributed to one of the Three Wise Men, at least in the west. Though no names are given in the Gospel of Matthew, this was one of the names the Western church settled on in the 8th century, though other names were used by Eastern churches.  It is an alternate form of the Babylonian king Belshazzar, mentioned in the Book of Daniel.

This link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baltazar will give you more uses of the name.  Not all demons, it seems.

  2. I believe there was a character in the box office smash hit comedy "Galaxy Quest" named Bathazar. Why Bathazar? Well it sure sounded snazzy that's for certain!

  3. its not demonic at all,

it just has that ancient sound, and people like 2 use it

  4. I don't know about demonic, but I know one of the 3 kings that followed the Star was supposedly named Balthazar.

  5. Balthazar i don't think is demonic yeah he's a demon in charmed but he's not in Romeo and Juliet maybe it's just the way people who hear it think of it.
