Why the name calling ?

Why does it seem that uninventive immature name calling of basketball players seem to be more and more prolific ?

LeChoke for example..why ?

It seems the better the player is the more idiotic the name.

I don't actually like LeBron James, because I don't like his "my team" attitude, but is it really necessary to try to demean someone who's achieved a great deal ?
