Why the names on eddie stobbart lorries?

Question

I heard the first lorry had the name of sally after sally radio but can anyone tell me where all the other names come from and I have asked a driver and they are not named after the drivers wives.

I remember when I was a kid and would have competitions with my brother on long journeys; whoever wrote down the most names from the lorries won £2 from the other person! Well, it kept us quiet on long journeys!

Stobart trucks have always had names and today you can request to have one named on your behalf.

Sally Boazman (Sally Traffic) was not the first, in fact that name was only given to a truck about three years ago at a truck fest!
