its probably because not all the local channels in your area have started digitally broadcasting yet. try to contact each and every station to fin out.

The device is not plug and play.  I just bought a new Zenith box.  Because we did not have A/V connections, I used both coaxial jacks instead.  You must make sure the TV is on channel 3.  Then you have to make sure the converter box is turned on.  On the Zenith, it needs to be on blue.  If the front is red, that means that it is off, and the TV can receive analog channels by changing channels on the TV.  When it is blue (on), we can view digital channels by changing channels on the converter box.  The TV must be turned to channel 3, and you must run through the initial setup.
