  1. First off, Ya ever met the man? I have. Ali, IN HIS PRIME, could whip most of these wannabes. PUHLEASE! Get your head out and know your history.

"Float like a butterfly, Sting like a bee.

"That would be the man known as MUHAMMAD ALI"

  2. you should learn English and I challenge you to find who was or is better than him. I don't think you will find more than maybe 1 or 2 depending on the legitimate sources that disagree on a few points. other than that you won't find anybody that was or is greater tha Ali in the ring

  3. muhummad ali has elevated the sport of boxing to new heights and as an athlete has transcended the sport and has become the most recognizable athlete in the world of sports.

  4. tok proper england please

    peps no understand!?!?!

    lol ;P

  5. 1ST OF ALL LEARN HOW TO SPEAK ENGLISH 2ND OF ALL ID LIKE TO SEE YOU LAST A ROUND WITH ALI IN THE RING YOU FOB

  6. In his prime, otherwise known to me as the first time he beat Liston, nobody would have beat him.  No one.  Ali is one of the first fighters people talk about when boxing is mentioned.  Quickest heavyweight ever.

  7. because he was more than a boxer, he was a civil rights activist and a entertainer before you had the nike and reebok etc......building the athletes, he denouced the vietnam war and was banned from the sport for 3 years and still came back to greatness. most boxers have never had to endure that type of struggle and most never will

  8. Not realyy! He was and still is a legend. So much about him is better than the boxers today.

  9. what what what ...........are you snortting something.put it away.ali was as fast as a middleweight and still had heavyweight power.ali was amazing in everyway.in his prime there was no one that could beat him.no one.what you think well he couldn't handle wladimer or vitali klitischkos power.foreman lost to ali was big as h**l and hit harder than both those idiots. man god i think i have reached a new mile stone i never thought i would meet anyone dumber than the retarded kid next door.well thanks for prooving me wrong you tard

  10. Yeah, and that goes double for Tyson!

  11. If you're going to answer you're own Q, then why ask it?

Over time, sports evolves, games change so much that you can't even recognize the older ways.  However, boxing is done almost identically to how it was done the day Jack Dempsey obliterated Jess Willard.  You can easily and directly compare and contrast contemporary fighters to any fighter from Dempsey's days or after.  Ali was the greatest and anytime a fighter comes up, he's going to be compared.

Forget Ali?  Dude, you just don't get it.  History is going to record Ali the same way it recorded Spartacus, Achilles, Beowulf, David, Sampson, Hercules...you get the idea.  We are lucky to remember him as he was, rather than from texts and history.  We are privy to a golden age of history, as the heros are recorded forever on film and video, people generations from now will look upon us with envy for having being around during the Ali era of sports.

  12. Ali in his prime was the greatest boxer ever

  13. ali was the greatest heavyweight of all time.

there might have been a few fighters better than him at the lower weights

sugar ray robinson definitely, and maybe henry armstrong, benny leonard, and willie pep...but thats it!

  14. Oh really?  How about we just forget this question as it is rather childish?  Why do people talk about any of the greats?  Because they were great perhaps?  Ali won three world heavyweight championships and beat Frazier twice, Foreman, Norton twice, Patterson twice, and Liston twice among others.  Now we await for your list of boxers better than him.

  15. It was his quality added with his personality. I find it hard to believe that somebody is questioning Ali who is a true great legend and fully deserving of the title 'The Greatest'.
