Why the price increase in Beans, specifically Black Beans?

Question

I want to know the reason for the price increase for the Beans, specially the Black Beans, or frijoles as they are called in Latin America.

I can guess it either has to do with the increase in the bio-fuels, or the change to more profitable crops like soy-bean by the farmers.

Your help will be greatly appreciated.
