  1. Poor harvest in many countries.

    Rising oil prices also means rising transport costs and a general increase in all prices. Hence, if the price do not increase, the selling party will not be able to hold out for long.

    The government is reluctant to give more subsidies to  rice.

    And there is one that i'm not too sure: the weak us dollars means transaction becomes more expensive due to exchange rates.

    now 50% OF them

    have change to Grow Soyabeans ..

    Cos SoyabEans are nided For cars in europe or amercia .

    That y People Who are growing Rice This year

    Prefering To grow soyabeans or other thing ,

    As Rich Rice Farmer buy Lands from Poor Rice Farmer

    To grow rice that y our rice keep decreasing In the order days instead of suffering without rice to eat, we have more rice..

    but now rich Rice Farmer who have a LArge amount of Land

    decided to grow other crops.

    Demand...

    World population had increased so much for the last 60 years.

    Supply....

    With farmland giving way to development,

    Less people want to work in farms,

    Natural disaster,

    Import from further countries.........

    Above are just few common reasons only.

    I feel that someone may be playing with the numbers also.
