Why the steel prices are higher?

in last few months steel is going high & high

why?

will govt.control over this

when all cost of living and freight / fuel are keep increasing this also will keep rising. where is govt.....hello Mr. Govt. wake up please.

It is largely driven by strong demand, globally. Geo-political situation globally has compounded the problem with short supply of crude-oi. It is cyclic and would follow a sharp fall too. Govt. tries to put a cap but it has been a retrograde approach and would affect the future investments in the sector.

government has no control on them.
