Why the temperature of cat's body has increased?

My 7-year-old cat has increased body temperature from last few days. He is otherwise sleeping and eating nearly normal, but when i touch him his body temperature is high. What reasons there might be behind this increase in his body temperature?

there are many reasons for the rise in your cat's temperature.

He must have a fever

It must be too hot so he is feeling hot . Give him cool water to drink.

He is sick. Go to the vet. That is better

he could be getting sick or he is sick i would take him to the vet to get a checkup to be on the safe side you never want to risk it.
