  1. Callus is undifferentiated mass of cells. Regeneration through callus is possible but the plants which are developed from the callus tissue are often show a lot of variation. Micropropagation technique expects the plants of uniform nature which is not available through callus regeneration.


  2. Usually you will mainly get roots from a callus.

    This will slow growth and subdivision in microcultivation
