Why the west always play games and double standard when came to countries who are not their ally

In 2006 when Israel attack Lebanon the USA and the UK say israel has right to defend it self and they never condemn israel. Just this yr when kosovo claim independent the EU and the USA were first to recognise them. Also when Turkey Started bombing the kursdis separatists again they never say it was disproportionate now they are calling Russia action against Georgia is disproportionate use of force by Russia this is complete hypocrisy.
