    They're also showing that it is not a gold chocolate coin!(heheheheh)

  3. Because they don't know what else to do with it. Other than putting the medals in their mouths, they can't very well cram them up their noses nor shaft them up their as***.

  4. It's an old custom. Back in the middle ages biting gold was a way of checking if it was pure enough.  

  5. It's either because

    1) The medals are made of chocolate or

    2) It's a gesture to show that the medal is real.

  6. It's a playful thing suggesting they're checking if the precious metals are genuine.
