Why there is no Red Lobster in Montreal??

why some famous restaurants (e.g Red lobster, Applebees, others) available across Canada but NOT in Montreal??

Because Red Lobster and other chain restaurants like it are disgusting. Go eat lobster and sea food in a restaurand where they serve REAL food, not frozen or processed stuff. I'm telling you, the price may be higher, but the quality more than makes up for it.

Because it would be too expensive to change the name to Lobster Rouge!

There was one in Pointe Claire, closed down about 10 years ago. I don't know why.
