  1. Freedom, doesn't that ring a bell anymore? Bans should be used to make a point by the individual, not to force people to do what you want.  It boils down to you saying that some people are too dumb to control their own lives and you know what is best for them; do you really think like that, then you should run as a democrat.  Not only are you stereotyping all fast food, but all people.   You do what is best for you and yours and I'll do the same, thanks.

  2. People should be held responsible for the choices they make. If someone wants to eat fast food 24/7 knowing how bad it is for them in mass quantities, they shouldn't complain if they gain weight or develop heart disease. The government shouldn't regulate what we eat just because it might be bad for us. People should be able to decide on their own if they want to chow down on that 2000 calorie triple cheese bacon burger!

  3. because it quick...and meets the needs of those who live a busy life... family time, work, school etc... and they are sort of starting a healthy trend with grilled chicken, subbing for salads and baked potatoes and etc...

  4. As long as you eat it only occasionally and not make it part of your regular diet, and if you exercise regularly, it shouldn't hurt.

Besides I'm 45 and I would resent anybody deciding FOR me what I should and shouldn't eat.

  5. Education with free will is better than ignorance with control. People make their own decisions, and while fast food is definitely out of control, the market is there forit. It's too bad we don't see more healthy chains around, like Pita Pit.

  6. As long as it isn't part of your staple diet and occasional fast food meal won't hurt too badly.

  7. If the government starts banning the kind of foods a person wants to eat, what is next?  Telling people who they can and can't associate with? Where is this "banning " going to stop, if it is allowed to happen?  Is this the kind of "1984" society Americans  want to live in?

  8. Because its good, fast and cheap...

and a lot of people enjoy it, and shouldn't have to be penalized for those who don't know how to control themselves or there children, people make there own choices, eating fast food in moderation is fine. theres nothing bad about fast food the only thing that's bad is that people don't know how to control themselves.

  9. it is fast.

  10. Because it's cheap and available. Sometimes you're on the run and you need something in your system. And for every burger joint like McDonald's, there's a Subway or pita joint that makes fast, healthy meals. So, to ban fast food is to eliminate a lot of healthy choices, along with the unhealthy ones.

  11. If the government REMOVED fast food, people wouldn't gravitate towards it! They can't have what's not there. And also, if people are busy and on the run, pack a meal before you leave the house. Stop trying to blame it on a busy schedule. It doesn't take much time to pack a sandwich,  veggies, fruit, something healthy. Take responsibility here. If your kids have the same problem, pack THEM something. If it requires getting up early, so be it. Parenthood isn't easy.

  12. I think you should read the book fast food nation then you would know why.

  13. Because if they took it away, they would force people to have to skip meals because not everyone has the time to sit down and eat a meal. If someone is on a tight schedule, they may only have time to go through the drive thru real fast and eat their meal on their way back to work.
