Why this resauraunt closed?

Last Friday my husband went to a local resauraunt to place a carryout order. They were not answering their phone so he had to drive there. When he arrived, there was a sign on the door saying that they would be closed until August 20th.

There was no explaination and I want to know how I can check to see if they were closed due to health reasons. Is there a website for this?

Could be on holiday! Lots of places do that this time of year. Or family problems. And If they have closed for health reasons they would have to be doing the place back up to be re-inspected anyway.

Your county website should have a section on restaurant ratings for the health department. I always check before going to a new restaurant.  Some websites will only give the grade, but some actually detail what the violations were.

Could it be family owned? If so maybe they have some family problems. Could be holiday, or maybe a sickness, or remodeling.
