  1. The ones in the dry areas are saving up their water store. The others don't have to, they have plenty of food. Think of trees. Those in dry areas have large, deep, strong roots. Trees in wet areas blow over in windstorms.


  2. because the plants living in dry conditions need to collect and hold more water, because water is more scarce. those living in wet areas dont need as to collect as much water. eg a plant in the rainforest would have a thin cuticle because there is a regualr downfall of water there.

  3. plants that live in dry areas have to try to keep their water from evaporating so the develop very thick cuticles to try to save their water plants in wet areas don't have to worry so much because there's more water in the air they can get more water at any time
