people get SO mad and irritated and  it's better not to talk about it so you can stay friends and be happy.

politics are very important these days and people have a lot of opinions. especially when the sides are opposing eachother...

because it's boring, no one wants to hear it and it's full of c**p. it's got too much drama and pretentiousness in it that you won't mind thinking about it when you're having fun with your friends.

It's no problem, unless your friends have different views.

For me talking politics with anything but a moderate republican / democrat is mostly impossible.

well me and my friends talk about EVERYTHING! the cute boy in one of our classes, the crazy french teacher, the outfit an "enemy" was wearing. we even talk about polotics, just because me and my friends have different views and our still teenagers who talk about teenager stuff, we still do talk about the important things, like what goes on in our state, new mexico, our country, or the world :)

Because your friends may have different views and beliefs, and may support people you do not like.

Avoid antagonizing them.

Because more often than not, it causes fights. My boyfriend and I are on the opposite sides of the political spectrum and whenever we talk politics it just makes us frustrated. lol

So long as the 'talk' doesn't go any farther than expressions of ones' political persuasion and stop before any further explanations of the 'why and wherefore', I think it's perfectly O.K. and satisfying. But SPARE ME any further discussion involving "WHAT I THINK" because those things always end up in ARGUMENT and bad feelings among the participants.

my best friend is a liberal.we get along fine.even though we never see eye to eye in politics.it's just a small part of our friendship.

im a political science major. so  i talk politics with my friends.

for those who are not, i guess because politics isnt fun. and its a witty subject. some friends may not catch on it. :)

cause its kinda boring, not alot of people are well informed on it, there are not many good topics, and because its pretty boring
